It’s Never Too Late

Dear Woman of Passion!

It’s never too late…

The enemy uses time to steal faith from the most tenacious and diligent believer.

He’ll either make you feel like you’re too old and the clock is running out, or he’ll make you think you have little to no time to accomplish your dream(s) and vision. It’s a successful tactic as too many of us race towards desires and needs using time as a benchmark to what is possible.

I think you know what I mean: It’s when time is considered and the heart flutters and/or faints because of uncertainty. It’s an invasive thought of how fleeting time really is. It’s when God plants promise and the enemy uproots any chance of fulfillment, citing time. It’s when God gives hope and the enemy uses the reality of time to eclipse the prospect of its reality. The very thought of time emphasizes what you don’t have and/or have not accomplished. It highlights what appears impossible.

Woman of Passion, the reality is, time is a distraction to faith. The world says time waits for no man, but God didn’t say that to you! In fact God says, “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11) My interpretation to encourage you is this, no matter when you get it, have it or become it, it will be a beautiful time. It’s never too late for you because you are not hostage to time.

Think about it: When God promised Abram and Sarai a child, He wasn’t beholden to their age or the number of years that had passed by. When Joshua needed victory over his enemy God stopped time just for Israel (Joshua 10:13-15). When Hezekiah prayed (2 Kings 20:1-6), he got more time! God is so gracious to His children that He even told Israel He will restore, “make up for the years” that were stolen from them (Joel 2:25-26)!

This God is our Father too! He can fulfill promise in your time. He can redeem the time you have lost, or the time stolen from you. He can extend time and show you how to make the best use of your time. He can do it because He has not changed.

Don’t let the enemy discourage you! We each have the same amount of time in a day. Rather than belaboring the time we think we’ve lost, let’s give attention to how we are using the time we have. Go after promise undaunted by time because you are choosing to use your time wisely.

Here’s a helpful pointer: Turn the television off! I had a reality check when I realized I literally watched the Cosby kids grow up (The Cosby Show). One minute Rudy was a cute little snaggled-tooth four year old and the next minute she was a pretty young woman. It happened before my eyes. With that epiphany I was reminded of my mother’s words, “They are making their money while you sit there and watch”. Nuff said.

Woman of Passion, manage your time by giving it to God, and God will ensure that you have the time of your life!

We’re women of passion, purpose and priority making the day count!

Agapé,

Pastor Qwynn
