Purpose & Priority

God’s purpose for you is founded in Him throughout the seasons.  He’s the only one who can tell you the purpose for your existence and bring meaning to each day.  Which means, you must make the time or sacrifice to fellowship with Him through Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year.  Don’t allow yourself to become sidetracked with the busyness imposed by others and the responsibilities of life.

Your busyness or responsibilities cannot define purpose and meaning for your life.  Who you are can only be determined by your Maker, just as a child is the only one who can tell you what they’ve drawn, even when you could have sworn it was a picture of a chair.  God, our Creator, is the only one who can define purpose for you.  You may have responsibilities that include school, a husband, children, a job, or a person depending on your care, but these demands aren’t the complete reason for your existence nor are they the summary of purpose for your life.

Regardless of what’s on the day’s agenda, keep your fellowship with God a priority.  In the fellowship with Him purpose is revealed and your time optimized.  Here’s what I mean and there’s no logic involved:  When I proactively include God in my day three things happen:  One, purpose illuminates; two, He seems to add time to a busy day; and three, He prioritizes for me which responsibility needs my immediate attention, which can wait, and how to manage the task effectively.  More than that, when I make time for Him, I am fulfilled.

You and I were created for Him!  He created each of us for fellowship.  So begin to pray in the Spirit daily then follow His leading.  Don’t live as a realist, live by faith trusting Him to and direct you in the way you should go. (Isaiah 48:17)  Don’t live so busy that you can’t take the time to seek Him daily.  (“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”)

With purpose comes fulfillment and I don’t know about you, but when I’m fulfilled inwardly it makes the holidays so much brighter!

We’re women of passion, purpose and priority making the day count!
