Welcome to the Kingdom of God!!! What a wonderful decision to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. Accepting Christ is no hollow response. Your decision is a response to the love of God few of us can really fathom. Many accept His love, but we don’t necessarily understand it.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever (that’s you) believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16, NKJ). “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:6-8 (NIV)
Just think about the sacrifice that God made for you and me. He gave His one and only Son to become a sin sacrifice so that we would have eternal life through him. His beloved Son became the lamb without blemish or defect who took on our sins. “He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.” (Isaiah 53:7) He loved us enough to take our penalty of sin to the cross so that we could have access to His Father. Through Him and only through Him, we are saved. “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 (NIV) “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not form yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8,9 (NIV)
God met you right where you were in order to bring you a new life filled with peace, joy, and love. It does not matter what your age, race, socio-economic background, your past or your present, God offers Christ so that we may live victorious with the promise of everlasting life.
